Thank you for your interest in our interior design and decorating services!

From one-room redesigns to remodels and new construction, we are experienced in a variety of residential project types. We work with clients in Hamilton, Syracuse, Utica, Ithaca, New York City, Connecticut, Delaware and all points in-between and beyond!

Whether your wish is to create an entirely new look or enhance an existing space, our goal is to collaborate with you to design a space especially for the way you live and to assist you in completely designing your dream space from start to finish. From cabinetry to countertops, furniture to flooring, fabrics to finishes, artwork, lighting, accessories, window treatments, paint, and everything in between – we’re here to help! We work closely with reputable architects, builders, trades, vendors and to-the-trade suppliers to ensure that the end product meets and exceeds your expectations.

The Questionnaire

We like to begin with a questionnaire to better understand the scope of your project. You can fill that out here: Design Questionnaire

Once you submit the questionnaire, we will carefully review your responses and get back to you within two weeks.

Beyond the Questionnaire

Beyond the questionnaire, we schedule a complimentary 20-minute discovery call to briefly discuss your project. Once we have determined that we are prospectively a good fit, the next step is to schedule the initial consultation.

The initial consultation takes approximately two hours and is ideally held in your home or at the project site, but sometimes via phone conference (if you’re remote) or in our design studio located in Hamilton, NY (if there is no home or site just yet). Our initial consultation is $495.00 + sales tax and includes travel time up to a half hour each way. Beyond that, travel time is billed at half our hourly rate. Additional consultation hours beyond the two hours are billed at our hourly rate. If additional travel or overnight accommodations are required, this will be determined on an individual basis.

A few things of note:

No refunds or credits will be issued if the consultation does not take the full two hours. All fees subject to applicable sales tax and invoice must be paid at time of booking to secure appointment.

What to Expect at the Initial Consultation

At the Initial Consultation, we present you with our Welcome Package and contact information packet and we expect that the decision makers on the project will be present. We will begin with a discussion of the scope of your project as well as a tour of your home, if applicable. During the consultation, we will ask a series of specific questions to determine how you want your home and/or the space(s) included in the scope of the project to feel, function and flow.

We also get an idea of your personal style and how you wish to live in the space(s) included in the scope. We discuss likes and dislikes, budget and timeline and we may offer suggestions and direction for various elements of the space, but we do not present conceptual drawings, mood boards, finish selections or pricing. We will also review our Design Agreement at the Initial Consultation should you have any questions about how we work moving forward.

Beyond the Initial Consultation

Beyond the initial consultation and should you decide to hire our firm, we charge by the hour to develop a plan for your space(s) that reflects your personal style, incorporating the design principles of balance, color, harmony, scale, focal point and texture. We may also recommend a layout and floor plan that enables you to get maximum functionality and storage from your space, offer color suggestions and present ideas for further enhancement and updates.

Depending on the scope of your project, billable design hours will include, but are not limited to the following as outlined in our Design Agreement:

  • Consultation, design and site visits
  • Emails, phone calls and texts
  • Developing and/or obtaining estimates for work to be done
  • Development of mood/concept boards
  • Research, analysis and recommendations for space layouts
  • Elevations, perspectives and floor plans (Note: Conceptual and intended to set forth design intent only. Not to be used for architectural, engineering, fabrication or installation purposes.)
  • Collaboration and communication with architects, trades and contractors
  • Finish recommendations and purchase assistance
  • FF&E (furniture, fixture and equipment) recommendations and purchase assistance
  • Procurement of furniture, fixtures, rugs, accessories, etc.
  • Execution of furniture, fixture, rug and accessory placement
  • Travel time
